Need Help: Fiberglass Hood
I have a 03 GT Conv.
I bought a fiberglass Mach 3 Hood for it, months and months ago.
No, I dont know the manufacturer it was used. It isnt a shell it is 2 layers, hollow and integrated alum hood catch...seemed pretty decent quality, when I purchased it and I looked it over pretty well.
I tried painting it myself, knowing fully it most likely will not work, but it was worth my time to see how bad, which wasn't bad, just not good.... sorry that's not the question but the back story.
I finally lined up a painter and installed the hood with hood pins.
Here is my problem:
The hood does not align, it is slightly askew towards the passenger side and is warped, the passenger side is higher than the driver's.
Has anyone had/ heard of this problem before?
I dont see any obvious means to align the hood, the hinge holes dont allow for movement at least at the hood side.
Before I break out the dremel, I would prefer to ask a few questions.
I dont know what to do about the warp. I dont know if it was already this way or the Florida humidity & heat that may have done it. It was kept garaged.
Any ideas besides the obvious dremel ones would be great
