Need help from you guys with SLP X pipes !!!

I have a buddy who bought the SLP catback and X pipe for his 01 GT. He went and installed the cat back with no problem, but when he tried to bolt up the X-pipe he discovered that on the driver's side the flange that hooks up to the headers doesn't fit right. The connection isn't snug and leaves like a half inch gap where the stock bolt on the manifold connects to the X-pipe. Did any of you guys have this problem? How did you fix it?

Sorry if my descriptions are poor I haven't seen the problem, so I am just trying to describe the problem from what he told me.

i think they kinda try re-adjusting the xpipe by lifting it and then moving..they finally got it

You need to remove the stock studs and use the bolts that come with the x pipe to get it snug.

yeah do what white stang said and it will fit nug as can be....it was fun getting those studs out...lol good luck

Do you have to drill the old studs out, or can you just "work" them out?
