Im looking for as much "umph" out of the Trick Flow Street Heat Kit as possible. Its airflow will be going through a Accufab 70mm TB, Pro-M 75 Maf, BBK CAI and exiting through FordRacing Shortie's, BBK O/R Xpipe, and 40series flows. The supporting fuel system will be FordRacing 24# inje., 255 Walbro fuel pump, and a Holley fuel Regulator. Now here's the question:
Running the TFS1 cam, what size pushrods would i need to compliment a 1.7 Roller Rockers (TFS-5140051)? The kit comes with 1.6's Rockers (TFS-51400510), and Chromemoly pushrods with the following specs: 5/16in dia, 6.7in length. I looked up the specs on the Trickflow 1.7's and they have IDENTICAL specs (3/8in stud size, 1.630in max spring dia, .6in slot width.) to the 1.6's. Do i need longer pushrods, or am i alright with the ones that comes with the kit?
Another question - will i have enough ptv clearance? i presume i would. ive seen a 302 with 1.7's on top of AFR 185cc's using stock internals work just fine. i just would like reassurance before i go selling/buying stuff that wont even work.
