need help going from a C6 to a C4 what do I need to change?

I know I need to change the driveshaft right. The C6 is longer than the C4 right? If how long of a drive shaft do I need to get. And the bellhousing on the C4 which one do I need to get the large one or the small one. It is that way in Summit and in Jegs. I called them and they told me to call back Monday but I need the car back on the road ASAP. This is my daily driver.

Don't take my word but I think you need a larger driveshaft since the c6 tranny is longer then the c4, you also need a small block bellhousing for a 289, shifter linkage, crossmember, mounts, cooler lines. Im doing a FMX to c4 swap. I heard the FMX driveshaft will work with a c4 although it needs a new yoke.

That would be great but time I dont have. THis is my daily driver I need it fixed by this Friday. Plus in a way heard alot of ppl say get rid of that heavy thing and go with a built C4. So Iam going that way. I am trying to sell this C6 right now. One guy I meet said finding a C6 with a small bellhousing is rare to come by. If I had more time I would go on ahead and say do it for me But I just dont have the time.

the c6 has an integral bellhousing, they cannot be separated like the c4's...
the small bellhousing c6's were typically used on small block vans/trucks and seem to be harder to come by...
you will also need to make sure your flexplate is the right size for the c4 bellhousing that you have... 157 tooth or 164 tooth...
