Buy the Mach 1. In the long run, if you keep it long enough, the Mach 1 will have a better collectors value. Also there are more of the 2005+ Mustangs on the road than Mach 1's.

You can't drive without seeing a ton of the S197's anymore. Girl at work got a v6 and I just noticed this week she put some big pink ball thing with cat ears and eyes shrug: ) on the top of her antenna. I saw it and was like WTF? Can't stand her or her ugly girly 06... Anyway, my point was actually to agree that the S197's are everywhere, but on the rare occasion I see a Mach...

I didnt say the 3v dont respond well to mods all I said and ment was the the 4v is gonna respond alot better. Especially if he would add a blower.

Don't count on it. As if is, the 3V 4.6L puts out as much if not more power than the 4V DOHC in the Mach 1. The new 3V's seem to respond every bit as well to blowers and bolt on's as the 4V's do. The heads flow just as well and the intake manifolds flow even better than that. How many 4V blower kits do you see making base numbers right around 400rwhp like the 3V kits do?

As for which to get....well, from a practicallity standpoint, the newer car is always going to be your best bet. That being said, anyone who buys a Mustang to start with isn't really being that practical anyway.

If it were my money, I'd get the Mach 1. Great engine, great colour and it's an intant classic. Everyone and their mother drives a GT.....even as far as the '05's go, but you don't see too many Mach 1's running the streets.

thanks guys for all your input, i have already made up my mind and go with the majority and get the mach 1, i do like the 05's but like some said they are allover the place but i hardly see any mach1's out there, plus i know one day if i keep this car low k's and good shape it will bring way more money than an 05 gt, and i love the 310 hp and the lower weight of the mach vs the 05, i think its gonna be a lot of fun to own and drive.
