I finally got my dad to break down and get a stang, he got a mint condition 92 lx hatch, with only 50,000 on the clock, all stock expect K&n and 5 lug converation with 94 gt 17 inch wheels, it runs like new but seems so slow comparied to my 97 Gt. so we put 3.55s and a bbk off road x pipe and american thunder cat, back and march pulleys. it sounds great but still seems slow. it is in such execelent condition. i thought the lx's were fast. it also has motorsport lowering springs. any suggestions were the power is. the engine is so smooth and has a fresh tune, its like a brand new engine. also the guy who did the 5 lug conversion used an axle out of a 97 but the front is ? i guess adapters, because my 98 cobra wheels dont fit the front but they fit the back, he is pissed becase he wants to change the wheels but nothing is going to fit the front, any ideas why or what to do to change the front to make it accept the same wheels as the rear. any help would be apreacated

ur 92 is only pushing about 215 hp stock, with all ur mods ur lookin at max of 250hp. last time i checked, or cared haha jk, 96-98 gts are something like 260-270 stock? anyone correct me if im wrong cuz im just kinda ballparking it here.

my point is... ur 98 has a bunch of newer technology that makes it a faster car, but if you put a little money into that little 5.0, itll outperform your modular 4.6 any day

You are waaaayyyy off on your 96-98 gt estimate. I was actually really surprised that his dad's 92 feels slow compared to his 97 because the 96-98 GT's are some of slowest Stangs built. They don't have the PI heads like the 99 and ups do and were therefore only rated at 215hp. Couple that with the fact that the 97 is considerably heavier than a 92 LX and that little LX should be walkin all over a 97 GT. Either the 92 has a problem mecahnically or the 97 is heavily modified.
