An engine swap. Stick an RB26DETT under that hood and it'll be perfect

You guys may as well give it up, drifting is going to be big this summer and people are going to ask questions about it

I'm not being an ass. I'm just being honest. The majority of drift cars are not Mustangs. I don't really know what would make his car drift better because I'm not used to Mustangs as drift cars.

I thought any rear wheel drive car was suitable for drifting? Why wouldn't a Mustang make a good drift car?

I'm not saying it couldn't be a good drift car. The rear end of our cars (as you know if you have ever punched it around a turn) tend to sling a lot. This would have to be mastered to drift a Mustang. I'm pretty sure that the camber/caster/toe has to be somewhat jacked up to make the car 'loose' like drift cars are. I think the hardest part would be the oversteer/understeer aspect. It can be done, I've seen a couple (not the ones with stickers all over em) ...

If anybody has vids of Mustangs drifting good, I'd love to see em.

christ man it was a f'n joke, lighten up. what sparked this was a handful of actually serious threads on other boards ive read. it really blows my mind how these 3 movies have cluttered the car enthusiast scene with garbage

the weight, uneven weight distribution, and crappy suspension. also with it's 4x4 suspension I bet the center of gravity is somewhere between MIR and the sun. it also has the inability to get slammed without throwing the suspenion geometry out of whack without a bit of suspension work.

I'd stick with what's tried and true, a 240sx, fd/fc, or 84-87 corolla.

bob cosby might shank you if he sees a drifting stang .
