i replaced my clutch cable every thing is set i just cant seem to get to hook back up i need help on how to hook back up i have a 1990 mustang and the clutch set up is stock please help im in the miidle of the job:shrug:

Need to use a lever or something to pry the clutch fork forward and hook the cable on. There should be tension on the fork when hooked.

Be careful doing this as I know someone who levered their car off the jack stands while trying to do this

No there should NOT be any tension on the fork when it's hooked up and the pedal is all the way out. There should be no slack in the cable but no tension on it either. Tension on the cable/fork will kill your throwout bearing in short order... it's no different than riding around with your foot resting on the clutch.

I disagree with you. There should be pre-load. I forget if the spec is 10# or 1/8" but the tob should have some slight load in it.
