Need help quick pic's inside

Could someone tell me if this is normal... i was a little bored today so i decided to remove my plenum nad this is what i found... i have a 2000 gt 5 spd with 70k km on it.... i know this cant be normal can it ?

yes those are bumps and groves in the plenum

Yep unfortunately thats normal casting marks from when the made the intake. That is why some people port/polish the stock one for a couple of HP. If if bothers you pick up at aftermarket one from Accufab or Trick Flow. Check out www.modulardepot.com They have a good write up on the upper intakes.

That sucks that they come like that... look like someone took a dremel to the thing and hacked it all up... to bad i already put it back on i could have tried to fix it a little :\ but i think ill just save up for a Accufab..
