Im replacing the upper control arms and i picked up new bushings for the rear that have the metal sleeve with them.. Ive seen people say you can drill out or even burn out the rubber of the old bushings but how do i remove the rusty sleeve???

I am confused.

When I drilled out my stock bushings, I simply cleaned out the ear and slid the new bushing in place. Either my stock bushing didn't have a sleeve in it...or I left it in there. Either way, it worked for me.

I did it. What a mistake that was.
Steeda i believe has a nice replacement set, that you slip in.

I used an air hammer to get them out with a chisel point on it.
Still was a PITA.

If you haven't already destoryed the sleeve, just replace the bushing.
