Need Help removing a Ignition switch from a steering colum with out a key?

i picked up a used colum from a friend and i am now tryin to swap um out*reason doing so i broke the tilt lock on the one in the car so i was told its best just to replace the whole colum*. i was able to remove my igniton switch with with my key but on the new one i can't since i don't have a key, can anyone give me some advice on getting it out? thanks!

i would suggest a locksmith.
I had the same problem before with mine, i used a screwdriver and a hammer and broke it out in pieces. the new one went in and works fine, because i didn't damage the column will doing this.
 
Some folks have gotten away with snapping the lock with a screwdriver (as if stealing the car). Now the cylinder rotates to "run" and you can remove the cylinder.



Otherwise, drilling the pin or other alternatives are kind of a pain.
