need help, rockers will not tighten

just put on a new set on comp cam 986 srings and now my roller rockers chatter like crazy and when I pulled the valve cover back off and open valves are loose?? Need longer push rods?

Possibly.

Are the rockers you have now clearanced for the bigger springs? How did it feel when it went together?

More detail please. What do you mean your valves are loose? Regarding pushrod length, did you swap out cams, if so you will need new pushrods, but the best way is to check.

I am running an tfs1 cam on stock pushrods, ran fine before I got the new springs in. Sorry if misleading valves aren't loose the rockers are loose on the valves that are open

I am running crane cam 1.6 roller rockers

update on issue

bent all 16 pushrods

should I possibly look at new retainers made for double springs? 7 or 10 degree?

spring specs if it helps. just grabbing for straws

Dual Valve Springs
Outer inside diameter: 1.070"
Inner inside diameter: .697"
Seat load: 132lbs @1.750''
Open load: 293lbs @1.250''
Coil bind: 1.150''
Rate: 322lbs/in

what is the cam lift and rocker ratio?

is it the TFS1 and 1.6 RRs in your sig?

Yeah tfs1 and crane energizer 1.6 pedestal mount RR's

would it make a difference that I am running stock retainers and locks

found out coil bind was the problem, heads need to be machined for the springs. Comp cams told me first round they were ok and then the 2nd technician said they wouldn't work
