need help to rich or to lean.

I it set at 1k at idle and in drive it is about 800. When it is in drive I can tap the the gas a few times and it will die out. What is this?

Is your accelerator pump working properly?

does the exhaust smell like raw fuel? Are the plugs black?

MY plugs are black because I was trying to tune the car and it got to rich. YES they are black. I just turned then out 1 more turn and that problem went away. NOW what I got is when I get done with power braking it she wants to die out should I add more gas or up the idle.

When you turn them out, aren't you making the mix more rich?

yeah dude turning out richens turning in leans. If braking is causing dying you may have a vacuum leak. Also that idle seems a little high. I don't know though your talking to the right people somebody will know.
