Its springtime and my car is out of storage. I have a car cover that i bought last year and it no longer seems to be waterproof. I have a cowl leak (ugh) and everytime i drive my car after it rains the floor is soaked. Can anyone reccomend me a waterproof car cover that actually stays waterproof and will keep water out in heavy rain? Thanks a lot.

I wouldn't recommend a water proof car cover, I would think that you would want it to breath so that it could dry out any moisture trapped under the cover. Otherwise I would think this would promote moisture damage ex. mold. I would look at one of these. We use one on a friend's 67 that leaks around the cowl, granted it sits in the garage most of the time. But we install it when we wash the car and whenever its outside if it gets caught in the rain.

Not sure what year your car is, but one of those quick on and off cowl covers would stop the leak problem while the car is sitting and are pretty inexpensive. Agree with not using a true waterproof cover - a car cover needs to breath to let any moisture under the cover evaporate

I guess these things just kind of wear out over time. I figured spending 200+ for this cover would ensure it would last over a year but i guess thats not the case. I guess I have to buy a new one every year or 2. Thanks a lot guys.
