Hey guys this is my first post here. I've gathered all the parts needed to finally go the aod to t5 route. I just noticed that my 5speed pedal assembly does not have the switch bellow the quadrant. What is this switch and do I need it. My car does not have cruise control. Thanks

The switch may be the clutch safety switch; it prevents the starter from operating unless the clutch pedal is depressed.

Typical start circuit...

The brake pedal on is either for the cruse control or the brake light. The cruse control uses a vacuum switch with a single vacuum line connected to it.

Ok so I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but I just want to know if this pluggin not being on my pedal assembly is going to make my swap a nightmare. I took a pic of my pedals and pointed (with a wrench ) to the missing component that I'm concerned about. Is it something that I will swap from my auto pedals? Thanks again for your patience with this new guy :)
