It works. I still wonder why the car wanted to move when we were first starting it up.

The switch has nothing to do with whether your car tries to move or not IN PARK or NEUTRAL, if your transmission is shifted into either one of those then it shouldnt move. Mine sometimes lurches an inch when it cranks in park, but im guessing thats just the transmission pressuring up. If you are certain it was in park and it tried to move, check your fluid levels. It may just be time for a rebuild.

Brand New To Site

Hello, I just joined the site and not sure if I'm in the right place to write this (if not forgive me), but I am getting my 1st Mustang tomorrow. It's a 97' with a 4.2L Manual transmission. I am buying this car with the intel that every once in a while when you release the clutch petal, the engine dies. Not a stall, but just dies like some kind of kill switch. Can this be some kind of clutch or neutral safety switch problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to try to find out where to subscribe to this post, but my E-mail address is ranger175mar@yahoo.com also. Thanks.
