Well I was putting a new seat cover on my drivers side seat and from some odd reason when I took the seat out I unplugged the relay for the fuel pump. Got the seat back in, unaware that I left the relay unplugged and tried crank it, ran for a second and cut off, obvisiouly running off what fuel was left in the lines. So me still unaware I left the relay unplugged, I tried to crank the car many times with no result put it just turning over and over with no starting. Then I went and put a freaking fuel pump in the car and tried it again and still nothing and then like a lightbulb went off in my head I realized I left it unplugged. So I plugged it back up and cycled the switch to get fuel pressure built up and then I tried cranking it, all it would do was run for like 3 seconds and shut off, did it 10-15 times I would say. Then I noticed after about trying to get it to run about the 5th time that the realy was smoking so I unplugged it and I was like well Im gonna go get a new relay. So I did and plugged it in and now the fuel pump wouldnt even come on, so I was like what the crap. So I tried the old realy and it would run for 3 seconds and cut off, put then after about the 3rd time or so I felt the wires at the realy and they were pretty warm. So now Im kinda between a rock and a hard place, not knowing what to do. Someone told me I probably have a short but it was just kinda odd it happening like that, someone else said it was the ign. switch, and I thought it could be the actually connector for the realy cause its quite dirty looking(black looking at female connectors). What do you think?? I was thinking my next step was to get another connector and put it on and then see what happens? I have spark and fuel going to the injectors, like I said 3 seconds is all it will run. Before I unplugged the realy it would run like a dream, no probs what so ever. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
