Need help with head gasket

torque pattern & specs

I know that the torque pattern for the turbo heads is

9 5 1 3 7
8 4 2 6 10

with 9 and 8 being the front of the motor. I'm not positive its the same for the NA motors, but i would imagine it is. Anyone wanna back me up?

Also, its recomended to torque them at 30-60-90 like you said.

Hope this helps, good luck with the head. :nice:

This would depend on wether the head bolts being used are "torque to Yeild" or not!
Turbo head bolts are NOT torque to yeild. Thus, there is no, "90 degree additional turn" after the 60 pound torque spec.

If you want my opinion, go to the dealer and grab some turbo head bolts.
Crunk dem down to turbo specs.

Torque to yeild bolts suck, and break.
