I started the installation for my LCA's, no problem. but when it came time to install them - thats where the poop hit the fan. for the life of me i cant get the Right LCA to line up inside the bracket. the left one went in just fine, but the right is WAYWAY off. my buddy said its cause the axle's twisting an akward way- which iknew upon looking at how the LCA's aligned. but for the life of me i cant get them to line up. almost EVERY post about the HPM's install were said to be 'cake'. so im obviously doing something majorly wrong, or its just something minor that i overlooked. any help/suggestions would be VERY appreciated. im going to to venture into the LCA's again tommorow so the info would be appreciated ASAP. :] thanks

When I put my rear in I noticed it helps geatly to jack up the pinion angle of the rear with a spae tire jack. This helped me greatly. Just jack it up by where the driveshaft connects little by little until it lines up. If that is in fact your problem, good luck...

It's definetly something you can't do alone. I had to do all sort of work to get the passenger side lined up. I had help and we got the LCA at least in the bracket and then used a floor jack to make the bolt hole line up. I think I even jumped on the axle a few times to make it line up, lol. I'm not looking forward to the day when I decide to move the bolt hole or install something to stiffen up the torque boxes.

Put the car on jackstands by the rear subframes, then use a jack, perferably one that rolls under the middle of the axle. Then get a prybar or two, maby a buddy or two and do what you can do.

I have Megabite Jr LCA and Megabite uppers and had lots of fun also. Did it all by myself but having someone else there would have made all the difference.

I like to use spare tire jacks. The kind that you find in the trunk of cars in the junk yard. I think I am up to 4 of them. When I did my suspension work I had the car on jackstands, used a regular 3 ton hydr. jack under the pumpkin, a screw type spare tire jack under the pinion (by the driveshaft connection), and another spare tire screw jack under the lower control arm to raise it in position. Those screw type jacks are great for that becase they can be adjusted up and down very slowly and controlled easier than hydr. ones. Take a look in your trunk, you probally have one or two, depending on how many cars are around.

I just went through this last week... connect the uppers if you havent done that then jack the rear by the rubber doo bone behind the housing this let you have a piviting action and enables you to work the rear forward back or side to side make sure the anti sway bar isnt bolted on yet do that last, pack the springs and then use a stang to hold the rubber mout that you just jacked up. now you have a free jack. I had 2 jacks, jacked botch sides at once,if you dont jack one side then put a hammer underneath then do the other side with the jack. Once you get the rear into place jacking up the LCA will be significanly easier.

i know the fustration you are going through because i was there with these Mega bit jr LCA. these control arm are a two piece unit, that has a bracket that connects to the rear and then you have the control arm itself. first disconnect the control arm and bracket from the rear on the left side of the car, leaving the front of the control arm still connected to the body of the car. next install the right control arm to the body of the car only. next connect the brackets to the back end of each control arm. now the tricky part. if you have two jacks this will make it a little easyer. lift the control arms up slowly untill they go into the bracket on the rear. once the bracket on the control arm is in the bracket on the rear now you need to use a screw driver, to line up the bolt holes. take a long screw driver and go through the back of the bracket on the rear, now you need to insert it also in the bracket on the control arm. once you have it through both holes you can now move the bracket on the control arm, up and down to line up your bolt holes.

hope i didn't confuse you. good luck
