I have been having a problem with my idle for a while now and can't figure it out.
The car usually has a surging idle when warming up but works itself out when I drive for a while. I set the idle to 900rpm and it will stay that way for a while but after driving anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours it will drop to 700rpm and run like crap. It will hesitate a little when taking off and it sounds like it is going to stall at idle. Also I will get alot of backfiring through the exhaust when decelerating. Engine temp is usually around 180. So far I have replaced the IAC, cleaned the TB, replaced plugs(autolite 24's gapped at 35), new 9mm Ford Racing wires, MSD cap and rotor, set TPS to .99 volts, and a new MSD Blaster TFI coil. My mods are in my sig.
