4 bolts hold the shifter down to the tranny. There are then two "stopper" bolts on the front and rear of the Pro-5.0 shifter's base collar. Once you get the shifter bolted to the tranny just put the shifter in third gear. Screw the front stopper bolt until it contacts the shifter and then back it out 1/2 of a round. Next put the car in second gear and do the same for the rear stopper bolt.

its about the same. it kinda depends on how hard you really slam it into gear. i did my top stopper at 1/2 and the bottom at 1 because i hit second gear harder than any and i dont want to nail the stopper bolt, just kinda tap it

well, I found the best thing for the stop bolts was reverse and 5th, then back it out about 1/3 turn... the shifter pattern isn't paralell... 5th and rev are closer together (throw) than 1st and second...

-you really do document your projects well! always a good idea...

sorry to say, you overpaid (www.mustang-x.com has it for $165 plus $5 shipping) and it comes directly from Pro 5.0 too but that isn't too big of a difference...

very true about the $10, the downside is that mustang-x takes about 8 business days to get it to my house, WA, but that is the longest duration on shipping from them in the USA... I wasn't in a hurry though, and that's what can save you money in online orders... not having it today...
