i am in the middle of doing my pi headswap...and i was told the other day that the stock headbolts and headgaskets will blow with the high compression ratio. does anyone know if this is true??i need to get my car back together so any help would be appreciated. also if it matters the car is staying n/a till i get the 5.0 stroker shortblock in which i will get the arp headstuds and the cometic headgaskets(i think that is what they are called)

As long as you use new head gaskets and new head bolts and you will be just fine. Also, make sure you torque down the head bolts properly. No worries, best of luck.
I highly suggest in going with the ARP head studs, plus youll be able to re-use them unlike the Ford TY head bolts. Also the ARP's are about the same price. If you decide to go with the ARP's make sure you chase the threads in the block...DA snake boy!!
