I got the passanger window motor out, but upon taking it out I ended up taking some other bracket out as well, it looks like it has a guide for the bottom of the window as well as a white (clay) tip? I dont know what it does, or where it came from or how to re-install it.

I suck with this stuff but I'm doing my best.

After taking it out I reconnected the wiring. I heard a faint noise when I pushing the down button but nothing when pushing the up button.

I suspect some eletrical malfunction. If it were the plastic gears inside the motor I would expect to hear some sort of noise, right? Could this be as simple as the power window buttons? I had feared possible problems like this from over Armoralling too close to the buttons.

Let me know what you guys think, I need help here.
Thank You,

I tried hitting my window motor, slammed it hard with the back of my screw driver while still attached to the door.

I only hear a noise when I press the down button, nothing when the up button is pressed.

Tomorrow I am going to pull my drivers side door panel off and hook the passanger side motor up to it. If it works I will make the assumption that the button or something between the button and the motor is at fault. If nothing happens or I get the same noise I will guess that the motor is at fault.

If my assumptions are correct the motor will continue making the same noises (slight effort on the down, nothing on the up side) resulting in a dead motor. If thats the case Late Model Resto. has motors for like $90 which is about $90 less than the local Ford dealership is asking.

I guess if thats the case I'll just say f-it and get a new motor.

Ideally I was hoping for the plastic gearing to be busted but to be honest if that was the case I would hear the motor spinning freely inside the casing-right?

You guys rock, let me know if my assumptions are off.
Remember, to assume makes an Ass out of U and Me.

Prove me wrong and you will save me a good deal of $$ (and I'll give you mad Props)
