Need help with Saleen questions.....

I'm looking at a '02 S-281 that a lady is selling. It was owned by her husband who died of a heart-attack 2 months ago. She has lost all the paperwork on the car except title. Car has 8k on it.

Here's the questions.

1. This car is Super-Charged, can it really be a 281 ?

2. Can I get the Build Sheet from Saleen? It's number 180 or 2002.

they make s/c's 281's. call saleen and ask them to verify the saleen.

Welcome to the boards! You can tell if you look under the hood and see a roots
type supercharger on top of the 281 engine!Yes you can get a build sheet from
Saleen just call them on the phone.
Also thats one awesome ride!

what are you paying for it? Should be around $27-30k

You will enjoy it though.. even in stock form they are quick, defintaly will get attention around town, so be prepared for some dumb questions,lol

Yes, there are 281 Supercharged cars. It would not be number 2002, as there were less than 1,000 produced in every year.

Call Saleen at 1.800.888.8945 after noon PST and ask for Liz.

Have the VIN handy to have it checked. She can tell you everything that is on the car, at least how it left Saleen.
