Ok, basically I'm a ****ing idiot. A guy bought a taillight from me that I had from my old car, and he is from Brazil. I told him I would send it to him no problem as long as he paid for shipping which he gladly did.

Anyway, I have never sent anything internationally before so I didn't know I had to write in big letters under the address which country it was going to. The woman at the post office treated me like an idiot because I didn't know this and I had a brain fart and wrote Spain on the box in huge letters. This was at 4:25pm today. What should I do?! It cost $42.50 to send this damn thing and I only sold it for $55 which means if it is sent out I will have to pay another ****in $42.50 to send it again and loose all my money. FML!! Any suggestions? You think they sent it out yet? Or you think they are sending it out when they open tomorrow? Should I go when they open and stop shipment? I need help.

i paid $150 to ship them to canada. i just ate the $10 loss on the tires and told myself it was my good deed for the week!

It's gone to the mail processing center for sure. Once the window closes at 5:00pm or whenever, the mail truck will show up about an hour later and it's loaded up and sent out for processing and shipping. Since it's an International shipment you'll probably get it back in about 2-3 weeks with a "No Such Address" stamp on it. Your money is wasted. Their is no way to track it either. Even it it was sent Domestically you could'nt stop it until it's been through the system and sent back.

Dammit, that's what I was afraid of. I'm gonna go to the post office when they open tomorrow morning and see if there is anything they can do as a last resort. Maybe they can stop the shipment or something. I do have the Customs Form # which is how I tracked the package online, and all it says is "Accepted". We'll see what happens.

That sucks dude. We all make mistakes though. Don't beat yourself up over it. Oh and the woman at the counter is a bitch. I love how people act like they're the smartest people in the world AT WHAT THEY DO. Don't worry about that ****.

If your package is stopped and re-routed back to you it'll be the first time I've ever seen that in my 16 years at the post office. All their gonna do is B.S. you and act like their making an effort, that's it. They won't go beyond looking on their computer.

You guys really think I won't get them back? I made sure I marked off on the customs forms to return the package to the return address if there was an issue. I guess I'll just wait it out for a week or 2 and see what happens.

Maybe you will get them back someday, however you need to refund the money immediately. The mistake was yours and the time to resolve is not known.

You'll get the taillights back. You sent it to a civilized country, not some 3rd world dump in Africa.

That's what I thought. I already told the guy and he is really cool and I guess isn't in huge rush to get the part. He told me it's not a big deal and he would even possibly split the 2nd round of shipping with me. We shall see what happens, I just hope I get the light back and I can get it to him.
