Okay, my TOB locked up and before I could change it, the clutch pedal became extremely hard to press in. I ended up having to push it in a few times until I got my car to the shop. After replacing it, the clutch pedal seems extremely high and the clutch engages right after I put pressure on the pedal. As a result, it catches really high up. I'm afraid that if I press the pedal all the way to the floor, that the TOB may contact the pressure plate fingers. Can that happen? When I try and self adjust the pedal, it will adjust a notch but then it pops back up out or something. Could I have stripped a tooth or gear underneath the dash in the quadrant when I had to push the pedal in with the TOB locked up? After pushing in the pedal, I can take my foot and pull it out a little everytime. I'm not very familiar with the way it works, can someone guide me to what to check?

The T/O bearing is supposed to make contact with the center of the diaphragm springs, how do you think the clutch disc is pulled back.

Anyway, you are going the wrong way by using the self-adjust on the pedal. That brings the pedal engagement up higher. You will probably need to manually adjust the plastic quadrant up a notch or two.
