need help with transmission problem

my 94 t-5 tranny has a crack in it right under the drain plug for the tranny fluid. i am going to get a different tranny put in. will a 87-93 T-5 tranny fit in my car if i change the input shaft from my car and install it in the older tranny as well as use my bell housing?

Yep I'm pretty sure that's all that need to happen to work just fine.

I put a 93- tranny in my 95 stang during an AOD change over. I tried using a 5/8" DS spacer but it sucked. I took my DS to a shop and had a longer tube installed and balanced along with new u-joints (while it was out). Car is tight now with the longer DS and I did no changing in the tranny. Total cost with u joints was $134.00 in STL. Oh, the mount bracket is short too almost an inch too because the bellhousing is shorter on 87-93 t-5's. You will have to improvise a plate for the mount but that is easy.
