Last night I was on the freeway going about 70 and wanted to air it out a little and gunned it. Well when I did the revs went up to 4,000 then faded to 3,700 or so, then pulled past 4,000. WTF is up with that?? Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, the car is an automatic.

I'm shooting in the dark, but I'd say the converter unlocking and locking?

I've never had it happen.

Thanks for the replies. Any suggestions on how to correct it or can it even be corrected, if that's the problem??

a programmer that can change your shift points should help some , but i dont know if that situation is duplicated how it would respond exactly , definitely wont make it worse though
