my friend was installing subs and amp in his 98 mustang and the theere were already good amp and speaker wires, so when he was installing the amp he didnt take out the big fuse in the engine capartment and he touched 2 of the wires together(either ground, remote, or power) and it sparked. his radio wouldnt turn on at all (stock radio) so he found out that the big fuse was blown, he replaced it and checked the radio fuse and it was fine, and the radio stilll wont turn on, every thing else works. please help

That much could have melted the wire straigh off the deck or sometime fuses dont work right and will just fry the deck

if it was remote to the hot wire or even worse yet all 3 together he just completely fried his amp. there is no fuse that goes between the remote wire in the back and the deck... direct 12v line.

Tell him to get an Alpine. Great sound quality
