Need Help

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and what the fix was. Unfortunately, I am thinking the worst. The car is a 91LX 5.0 AOD 162k on the clock, the car is stock. All of a sudden I have developed a vibration at idle. It gets really bad as soon as you start to roll (0-5mph). The faster I drive (normal speed limits), the vibration settles down. I have not had time to pull codes yet. I have checked for vaccum leaks and spark at all cylinders, looks ok. The motor really isn't jumping around that bad but my battery, overflow tank and steering wheel shake really bad. It's not driveline (drive shaft, rearend) cause it happens when the car is not moving. I am thinking something with the transmission - torque converter. Anyone have any other ideas or methods to eliminate things? Any input would be appreciated!

Sounds like a harmonic balancer to me. Check that first there bad about coming apart.

Right, I know about those cruddy things. It has had a slight "wobble" if you could call it that. I don't think it has gotten any worse since this new vibration started.

It don't take much tho if its wobbling i would change it. Could end up messing up the main bearings.

Just got done puting my motor in my notch and the balancer had spun and i drove it up the road and broke a crank.

well check your timing if its way off then the balencer ring spun.
