the battery keeps dying in my mustang, and i kept charging it back up, and then i thought it was just the battery cuz i put in an optima so i put the stock back in and now the car wont start at all and it like shorts out and dies. any ideas??
need help!!!

If the battery dies after you put a brand new battery in then its most likely your alternator. You could have a bad relay somewhere that is eating your battery when the car is off.
yea i thought it was because i had it mounted in the trunk so i put it back up front and it didnt help and i thought it was the aftermarket alternator so i put the stock one back in and same, how do i check the relays? i checked for any trouble codes and nothing came up.
i put the battery back in the trunk and it starts up now and doesnt short out? i dont get it, something wrong with the ground or something?
