need help

i have a 98 mustang v6 5speed and fuel pump went out need to knw if i need a california emissions fuel pump or can i just get a cheaper one with out emissions i dont live in california i was looking at this fuel pump thanks much

Not sure... I wouldn't think it would matter which pump you run. Even if you lived in CA, it's not like the sniffer shop would remove the fuel tank to confirm if you had the correct pump in there. It may depend on whether or not your car was built to be sold in CA or outside CA. If there is a difference in the pumps it would matter whether your car was first certified for sale in CA or elsewhere. Hope that helps
