I'm looking for all/ any information, ect. about installing a power glide in my 95 mustang GT. The car has a 500HP turbo charged 306w, with an 8.8 rear. If any one has information, parts lists, recommended products, ect. please respond.

IMHO a glide is alittle overkill for a 500hp motor...there are many manual and auto trans. that can hold up to that power level and even more hp.

IF your dead set I would search/ask over on hardcore50.com they prob. have more info on what would be needed. That is alittle out of the reg. norm for this site.

I guess I didn't finish the story, this engine made 500hp, and 540lb-ft at the rear wheels with only 12psi of charge air press., a badly slipping clutch, and running rich. I had to cut the dyno session short due the drive train problems. With a better tune and 20 - 25 psi of charge air press, I suspect I will realize 650 + hp to the wheels. In addition I'm looking for an automatic with a transbrake to load the engine on the line.

but thanks I will check that site.

There are AOD's/C4's that will hold that with the options you want with ease and give you 3 gears or 3 + O/D instead of the 2 in the glide.

A guy I know local has a turbo monte that is looking at 850rwhp and he is running a Viper spec t56

imo i would use a turo 350 or 400. I used a turbo 350 on my 306 with nitrous without any problems. The trans shop that built it told me the gear ratios were better alot stronger and cheaper to rebuild when it needed it. Afriend was running a Turbo 400 with his 408 with zero problems. The glide takes to much power and isnt worth it. The kit comes with everything needed to install it. The trans shop is located in hazel park,MI and is called Driveline performance.

C-4 or T-400 in a sn-95

I was also considering the C-4 or Turbo 400 trans. Do you have any pictures of installations of either of these transmissions in an SN-95 mustang with a small block, or details of any modifications required to the trans tunnel, cross member, ect?
