So to have the BM shifter you must go manual valve body? Also being manual valve body takes away the auto aspect doesn't it? Otherwords from then on out you gota do the shifting?
There is a lever on the back of the shifter that you pull up with your fingers. Then, you pull or push the shifter depending if you're in park or neutral.

If you get the fully manual valve body, you have to do all your own shifting. That's what I have. You can also get a street/strip valve body that allows you to shift or let the tranny shift for you. I think you can use a B&M shifter with the stock valve body.
Hey Jim If I put the bm shifter on (which is in the plans for next year) cus Ive spent way to much money alerady this year
Can I use its functions with the stock valve body; in terms that i can shift up and down with no harm? I don't wana lose complete function of my auto.....its nice in Atlanta rush hour traffic. But I want some oomf for street. I heard that shifting my auto tranny will kill it. If I have to lose the whole auto aspect, i would just trade for a five speed but it would kill me in traffic
