Does a 1985 mustang GT have 4 or 5 lug wheels? Reason I am asking is I found a 85 mustang with a 5.0, but its got 4 lug wheels. I thought all v-8 cars had 5 lug wheels. They said the motor and tranny is newer than the car, and that the car was always a v-8. I was wondering if it could have originally been a 4 cylinder or 6 that was switched out for a v-8 and a 5 speed. I had a 1992 mustang that was a 4 cylinder with 4 lug wheels. Any advice?

yes the 85 has 4 lugs. All 4 bangers v-6s and v-8 cars from 1979 to 1993 had 4 lugs.

the 85 car also has the 7.5 inch rear end. The first V-8 to get the 8.8 was the 86.

Just a little FYI the SVO's are 5 lug, same with the saleens and the 93 cobra R
