i need to know how to tighten up my clutch cable i cant get my car to shift into gear with the car started any help??

do you still have the stock cable and quadrant? if so, the only adsjustments you have is pulling up on the clutch pedal.

and i did that and still nothing what else can i do its just not shiftin smoothly and wont go into first when started

any recent work on the car??? cables do stretch out over time and if you recently replaced the clutch then the cable will be longer than needed. time for a new one. MM probably has the best,

ya new tranny and new stage 2 clutch about 1,000 miles ago and it just started doing this the other day

Are you sure you have the stock quadrant/pawl assembly? Is there an adjustment nut on the trans-end of the clutch cable (at the fork) or a firewall adjuster in the engine bay?
