My front brakes are about shot on my 96 cobra and I've decided to go with the Hawk Ceramic pads, but I am not sure which rotors I should get. I am not going for the looks of drilled since it seems they do nothing for performance, but I would like some that won't rust. I also don't want to pay about as much as tires for them. Any suggestions; good/bad experiences? Thanks

I use OEM brembo rotors. You can try the Zinc plated rotors "no rust" but I have never used them. I've seen them for $120 (pair). What's your ballpark on $$?
I assume is it the rust on the rotor hat that you don't like?

Can you point me to a place to get the OE or the zincs?

I have only listed front rotors (13”); these are not cross drilled, cross drilled rotors can crack and I have seen this! This is intended to provide an inexpensive solution for street applications on SVT Cobra’s 1994-2004 Please pay attention to which ones are Right and Left rotors!

You could always go to AutoZone and buy the $50 Duralast rotors if you are in a hurry.

Raybestos for ~$50 each “advanced technology”

Centric for ~$60 each “power alloy”
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/LRS-1125CL/94-04-Mustang-Cobra-Front-Brake-Rotor

Brembo’s for $69 each Original Equipemt
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brak...Model=Mustang+Cobra&autoYear=1994&autoModClar=

I have ordered from tire rack, rock auto & late model restoration with success.

These are the zinc rotors ~$115 for a pair from speed concepts. I have not used them. I cannot provide any experience or details about quality/performance.

P.S. You can only stop as fast as your tires will allow
