NEED OPINIONS...BEST TIRES FOR 18X9 & 18 X 10 SETUP?????

Like title says, just looking for the best overall street tire for that setup.

Everyone is going to give you a differnt opinion. There is no one BEST street tire out there. Here are just a couple Nitto,BFgoodrich,Khumo,Toyo,Goodyear.

Like said, "there is no best street tire out their in peoples opinion", it's mostly about purchase justification for most.

Size wise though the 18 x 9 wheel would take a 255/40-18 and the 18 x 10 would be a 285/35-18. Those sizes are spec'd for the wheel widths you want and the front will be a little shorter than the rear. I coudn't find 2 identical tires in height that had the wheel width requirements of 9 ad 10 inch.

285/35R18 tires are SHORTER than 255/40R18's.

255/40R18 is 26.03" tall
285/35R18 is 25.85" tall

What you want out back is 285/40R18's. They're 26.98" tall or 295/35R18, which are 26.13" tall.

255/40R18 is 26.03" tall
285/35R18 is 25.85" tall

What you want out back is 285/40R18's. They're 26.98" tall or 295/35R18, which are 26.13" tall.

Yes, the Tire Rack says those are the same size for that brand. But look at other tires in those sizes. The Pirelli P-Zero Rosso, for example, is 255 = 25.9" an the 285 is 25.7". With those the rear tires would be shorter than the front tires and, I might add, they would look like crap.

Actual tire height can vary by tire manufacturer and type of tire. Bottom line, double check the tire heights before ordering tires if you aren't getting 4 tires the same size.

Get 265/35/18 and 295/35/18 You will find that is what most ppl are running.

Word. On a 9 inch rim I wouldn't go less than 265. 275 is the general rule for a 9 inch wide wheel. and for a 10 incher I'd go no less than 295... might even try a 305 if you can find one.

Out of the tires I've tried, I love Dunlop SP sport's, and Nitto NT-555R/NT-55. I don't like Pirelli or Bridgestone or Firestone, and the GoodYear F1's are ok at best. I haven't tried Michelin Pilots yet, but I hear good things about them.

The p-zero's they used to make 7-8 years ago were awesome, but the p-zero's they offer now I just don't like. The rubber compound was too hard like they are trying to make it a longer lasting tire??? I dunno, but I don't by tires to last long, I buy 'em to keep my a$$ going in a straight line.
