Right now I've got MAC shorty headers, MAC Prochamber & MAC Catback. I really don't like the sound this setup makes (doesn't have the loud agression I'm looking for). What I'm looking for is the type sound I had with my 2 chamber Flows with the MAC headers and prochamber.

Should I go with the American Thunder and Super 40 mufflers or the SLP system. Also if anyone knows where I can find sound clips of the SLP on a 5.0 I'd appreciate it. So far the only clips I found are on Mustang exhaust and from Idiot5.0 here. Thanks.

Woah woah woah. What kind of MAC catback did u get? Mine is loud as **** and i dont think i have ever heard a meaner stang. Drop the prochamber for an O/R X. Prochambers are queiter of the O/R midpipes.

Alot of people don't like the Flowmasters because of the "drone" but IMO it sounds alot better than the MAC. With the Super 40 mufflers supposedly sounding deeper I can only imagine what it would sound like on my setup. I've read that the SLP is supposed to be the most aggresive sounding out there but the only problem is I haven't heard any sound clips of it with shorty headers and a prochamber.

Same as what you've got. I'm not saying it's not loud, it is at startup and when you get on it. But to me it does not sound aggresive or agressive enough. As soon as I switched from the Flows to the MAC everyone that knew my car asked why it was quieter. In the end it's a matter personal preference to what each person likes.

I have the magnaflow catback and it definitely sounds mean at WOT. Not too loud at idle though. I also still have the stock H-pipe and headers. I'm not really sure how it measures up side by side to flowmasters because there aren't many mustangs around here. Magnapacks are the louder version of their straight-thru muffler. Those would probably be what you want.

SLP will make you sound loud, but IMO, its just loud, no tone, no definition. not a big fan of the SLP. I like the Mac stuff i have now, i have an o/r h-pipe instead of the prochamber, but otherwise we have the same. its louder than my old car with stock headers, mac o/r h-pipe and american thunder flows, but the mac has more drone.

you can get sound clips of pretty much any setup you want at www.mustangsoundclips.com

I have BBK shortys, BBK off-road H, and magnaflow catback with the "magnapack" optional mufflers in the soundclips in my sig.
I switched over to a stainless magnaflow H with high flow cats and I'm working on getting some clips of that as well.

The SLP sounds like a V8 boat in the water. The website I posted has a clip of SLP, but they have the mic so close you don't really get a good idea of what it sounds like in real life.

I like the sound clip on the Magnaflow website of a 93GT. The problem is with the sound clips is they sound different from one site to another. But is there that much of a difference between a prochamber and an o/r x-pipe?
