I need to replace the steering wheel in my 88....because, well it is an 18 year old wheel and looks every bit of it.

I was looking at aftermarket ones, simple ones like the old Grant GT wheels. I had one on my old Eclipse 10 years ago, and I don't remember what size it was. I want to say it was a 14", but I can't be sure...I know it was smaller than the OEM one.

Anyway, I see a TON of 13" wheels on eBay for pretty cheap....cheap enough where if they are crap, I wouldn't have wasted too much money. So I am thinking of getting one...but 13" seems very tiny.

I measured my stock one and it is 14.5" from outer ring to outer ring...but I am not sure where the aftermarket ones measure from.

Basically, is a 13" wheel really that small.....is it uncomfortable...difficult to steer? What are your opinions, thoughts?

Anything smaller than a 14" sucks IMO. When they are smaller than 14" steering effort is increased quite a bit and the wheel blocks the guages.

I got a 13" from Year One and love it. It shouldn't be any problem in turning and I've even had an 11". Never do that again.
