I'm thinkin of putting some new rims on the Stang. I'm just tossin around ideas but the ones that stick out in my head right now are:
1)polished 03 cobra style
2)silver FR500 style
3)anthracite FR500 style
4)silver bullit style
5)black bullit style
6)anthracite bullit style

I'm liking the FR500's in silver and the polished 03 Cobra's. I don't want to upgrade to 18" due to the cost of replacing the rubber.

I'm really not sure how the black or anthracite finish would look on my colour of car,I think it would be out of place on the orangey/red.I've seen them on darker coloured cars(Joe's for axample) and they look good but I'm not sure on a lighter colour.
Anyways, just thought I'd throw it out there for discussion. If anyone is good with photoshop and wants to whip up some pics with the different combinations, that'd be really cool by me.

I am thinking polished FR-500.

Dark colored wheels look good on anything, but polished on a red car would be killer.

Here's mine with the Chrome 03's. Your car will look killer with any rim. An anthricite would look really good.

I think you should just not get 03 Cobra's! I like being the only person with my rims! Well I suppose if you got the chrome ones then they are different than my satin ones, but still!

I would vote for the FR500s but you can't get those in a 17" rim I don't think.

I don't think its really worth changing wheels unless you want to change size imo. But if you must I think the fr500s would add an exotic look.

I'm happy with the polished rims on the car now. Any vehicle looks good with chrome or polished. I can't seem to find any polished FR500's in 17" though. I'm still not sure how an orange/red is going to look with the black or anthracite,I'm trying to find pics but no luck yet.

If I did it I would only get the polished or chrome, just because I agree about not wanting the same rims as someone else. However, remember that we're talking about a factory Ford rim, there's going to be lots of them around no matter what. You're right, from FORD they're only 18" but I'm not looking at spending $2000+ so you can get replica's in 17" for alot less.

I know there is lots around in other places, just not Regina though. There's lots of other cars that 01 Cobra fronts I'm sure, but not in Regina! But actually I'd be okay with it if you got them, cause if I get an 01 Cobra R hood Ryan and I will have the similar hoods. So I can't be a hypocrite!

I would also go for the FR500 rims even if they were silver. But you should also get bigger tires for the back (315/35/17). I saw a red 99 cobra in a magazine with silver FR500s; 17/9 with 275/40/17 in front and 17/10.5 with 315/35/17 in the back and the car had an unbeatable look and stance. Real pricey though.

I have 2 problems with the Torque Thrusts:1)they look very similiar to the bullit style in chrome 2)they also look similiar to the old Cragar SS's
Not saying I hate them but they really aren't on my list for a reason.
