Ok any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated on this.

Got 4.10s going in my '01 Cobra coupe in march or so, I'm at least putting in an aluminum driveshaft, but I've also been considering carbon fiber. I can get one for about 600 bucks but quite honestly, I just don't care about the price. If it's better, then I'll do it, but I can't find much info about who's actually got them. So pretend they're the same price... what would you do... or have you done?

Thanks all.

If money is no object then get the carbon fiber, but the aluminum is all you need for slicks and high TQ. The main reason for getting one is to soak up the vibrations from the 4.10s, and I know the Ford shafts are balanced at a higher rpm than stock, I assume the CF ones are too.

If you don't care about the money, go with the fiber shaft. It's lighter, so any vibration will be lessened due to the lower mass. It's not a guarantee that you won't have a vibration, however.

I'm sure you came across this old thread from the year 2004 via searching (congrats ), but you would probably have better luck over in the "S-197" specific section RE your question:
