Need pointers on n/a tune-ups

ok, im just about to get my 2.3 n/a on the road again after the nightmare that was my tranny swap (didnt get all the parts, entire underside of my car is coated in oil, spilled tranny fluid EVERYWHERE, ect.)

and i was wondering what are some good tips on tuneups?
ive heard that the bosch platinum plugs were crap, so what do you all mustang veterans suggest?
