I was perusing Autotrader during the last day of school and stumbled across a 1995 Gt. Basically the rundown on the car was, 5.0 V8, 5spd, shortys, flowmasters, rousch intake kit(I guess it meant Roush?), 3:73s. The car has 86miles, and for exterior the ad said it had an RR hood and i also see a cobra front bumper and look like Cobra R rims. Now the car has 86,000 miles on it, and the seller is asking $4800.

Basically what do you all think? I have limited knowledge with the 5.0s, studied more the 4.6, but this seems like a real good deal provided the car hasnt been beat to hell. Is there anything that should flag a warning sign to me, or anything i should look for if i decide to try and test drive it? i have my own little feelings on the mods and how it possibly could mean it was beaten pretty good but i dont know for sure of course.

I'm just not sure completely if the car is worth spending 5 grand away. I dont want something that is gonna take another few thousand to get into running shape or completely fixed, and I know if i test drive it will be easier to tell if it will need that anyway.

So any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the car will be put in insurance as liability only, to keep my payment for it around 100 bucks a month.

Sounds like a really good deal. The only thing that i could tell you is to run a carfax and take it to a mechanic to have them do a quick inspection before you buy it. Thats what i did with mine. And if he has the Roush Intake.....well then he spent a pretty penny on that thing. Good luck

sounds like a decent deal to me, assuming the car checks out mechanically, and for sure do a carfax, it wont always catch everything but its a good place to start....
