In the next couple of weeks, I am going to replace my current after-market headers and H-pipe with a set up FRPP headers and a new H-pipe. I need some help on deciding what mid-pipe to get. I want one that will fit like a glove. I have been researching and a lot of people seem to have problems with BBK fitment -- some say the O2 bung is in the wrong place and it will break against the chassis while others say that it makes the driver's side tip stick out. I hear a lot of good fitment things about MAC, but I am skeptical about their quality. I don't like the three-peice design much -- more room for error in exhaust leaks.

Let me know which of these you think I should choose, or give me another brand.

P.S. I have a 1995 GT

This would be a perfect opportunity for you to go with longtubes and a short h-pipe. Are you going with a cated or O/R pipe? I've heard alot of good things about Dr. gas mid-pipes. I had no fitment or quality issues with my BBK pipe, but its an X-pipe, which I strongly recommend, but it comes down to personal sound prefference.

I have FRPP ceramic shorties, Bassani catted X-pipe and Magnaflow stainless catback. Everything buttoned up like a glove and never ran into any problems.

I had a complete MAC exhaust before I put my current exhaust setup on. It rusted out pretty bad after 2 years. Of course, I have heard that some other guys with MAC parts that lasted alot longer. That is why I got all exhaust parts that either dont rust or take a little longer to.

I personally like the x-pipe sound, but some people don't. Bassani's stuff fits like a glove. I use it on my Mustang and both my Lightnings.

all of the summit h-pipes i've seen have to be re-welded back together after a short period of time. i've seen this happen about 5 times personally, and not just on Mustangs. I guess poor weld quality is the reason they can sell them so cheap.
