Need some guidance guys

I have a t5 in my mustang that wont roll in neutral.
Things i've tried.
1. jacked up rear end, turn tires and they move
2. with it jacked up i put it into first and turn the tires..they move but the driveshaft doesnt.
3. with it in gear i turn the crankshaft by hand ...it turns but the driveshaft doesnt...


i have a new clutch quadrant in it. Maybe i installed it wrong??? with the trans out .. i could turn the tailshaft prior to install.. any ideas i can try guys?

My thoughts are that this trans is stuck in a gear.

I cannot start the car because im not done with the motor..
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If the trans is in gear and you turn the crank but the D/S doesnt turn, then the clutch is not clamping down and connecting the two together.

Sounds like the clutch isnt adjusted correctly... What quad and cable are you running? Can you feel the clutch release and engage when pushing on the pedal?

Not rolling in neutral has me stumped, with the other symptons you posted above...but it's early and I've only had 1 cup of coffee

SOLUTION!

Well for anyone who has read this thread...who has had a similar problem i found my solution.
Let me first start by saying this is my first car ive dove into. It started out as a 4cy LX and was converted into a 302 GT with an automatic trans. Now it's a 351W ported and polished Gt with 5 lug all disk brake swap with a five speed. The prob i ran into is that the car wouldnt roll in neutral so i decided to jack the car up and take the driveshaft off to see if it's the rear end not moving or the trans locked up in gear and not letting it move. (remember im a rookie here.) So as i was taking the four bolts out of the driveshaft where it bolts to the rear end, i noticed that my dumb ass had bolts sticking out about an inch to where the bolt was hitting the differential housing. SIGH.... yeah live and learn i guess thanks to everyone for the suggestions... but like i said ya cant fix stupid lol.
