Going over to a friends and going to try to get his stang running. Well one thing i know whats wrong is that the alt...its stock and he just put on a mark 8 fan so giving him my stock fan. But another thing is it idles like ****....it goes from about 1000 to lil past 1600......The IAC is unplugged....and when you plug it back up it shots up to like 3000 rpm at idle. I was thinking the timing needs to be adjusted and maybe recheck that it has the right firing order. His engine mods are 331, gt-40 heads, not sure on cam and 70mm tb. But it doens't sound like a cam jumpin the rpm im just confused its running like that with no iac... thanks anyone can give me tips
