Need some help

I need some help on where i can find the Muti-fuction switch. I ordered a repair hardness for it. And i am having issues trying to find it. and if it is pain to put in? Any help would be great. the other forums are not helping

hate to give the short/universal answer, but junkyard???. I got one from a yard a while back

repalcing was simple, you may want to remove some stuff to get the plastic trim off, but I was able to acces everything by gently pulling back at the trim, got to the screws no problem

No i ordered the Muti-fuction switch repair harness cause my wipers are not working. I just want to know where it located in the car and if it will be hard to replace

They may not be the best prices, but they do have them.

Ok again I have Ordered the part already!!! I just need to know where it is located in the car and if its a pain to replace

Found a better price at Rock Auto. Go to their Part Number Search and look for "88923807". Don't worry about the other search options. The multi-function switch is the only search result.

Sorry, but your post was a bit unclear. You said you got a repair harness, but you didn't say if you needed the switch too.

If you're replacing an existing harness, this should be obvious - there's only one harness under the steering column that can be for the multi-function switch. It leads to a plug under the dash below the steering column.

94 and I think early 95 models do NOT have that connector (my 94 does not), so you'll have to splice the wires to put the connector in. If only the plastic connector is broken yet the wires are OK, you may have more success by popping each of the wire connectors out of the plastic plug. There's a clip holding the crimped connector into the plastic connector itself - if you can get a small flat-head screwdriver into that clip, the crimped connector will just slide out and you can plug it into the new plastic plug. I've done this several times; it's possible, but a bit of a PITA.

Ok I looked under there today, and i saw a connector just hanging there not plugged to anything. Do you think you could show me a pic of where is located? again sorry to the messy post, im just trying to figure this out cause i need wipers

The reason I need to put it in cause when i turn the wipers on and off fast, i hear a clicking sound coming from the right side of the steering wheel. And a buddy told me it was be that

Hmmm, that's not one I've heard of before. There isn't much in the steering column on the right side except for the ignition cylinder and that stupid key lock. The wiring harness runs along the top of the steering column into the connector I mentioned. It's a large connector, pretty close to 3/4" square. If this connector was unplugged, nothing on the multi-function switch would work.

Any way you could isolate the sound? Is it on the right side of the steering column? Is it coming from under the dash? Might want to poke your head down near the pedals and turn the wipers on & off like you said.

So its on the top so basically i have to take the screws out from the bottom, and the the top should just come right off?

You will need to remove the ignition lock cylinder to remove the top. If you don't mind putting visible stress fractures in the plastic you can just twist it out of the way.

To remove the ignition lock cylinder you turn the key to "On" (not start), then push the pin in on the bottom of the steering column below the cylinder. The pin should push in and you can then remove the ignition lock cylinder.
