Need some pintle caps....

Anyone got a PN for FMS 24 pintle caps...had 2 extras and cracked the freakin things getting em on and off replacing o-rings...

If anyones got a few extras or a kit they wanna part with, give me a shout...

Napa sells kits with the pintle caps and o-rings for like 2 bucks per injector. They worked fine for my injectors.

yea check out napa andy. They are pretty cheap. If the napa near u doesnt have any i can pick some more up for ya.

I am about to aska really dumb question, but what the heck are pintle caps? I've never haerd of them. So go ahead, flame away.....

Little pieces of plastic that are on the end of the injectors that protect the pintle or needle that opens and allows fuel to enter the intake. The break rather often. NAPA does have them since I got mine from there when me and a buddy traded injectors and he just happens to own the local NAPA so we basically rebuilt them on the counter before we traded.

Got em....Napa did have them....what i call a little suck job... nasty little mothers both on and off....they go all the way on then *crack* broke another one...

I called NAPA lookin for these, and this part # is for a 92 Ford diesel.......

I asked for a 95 Cobra or the like, nada...these kits are pretty generic and fit a whole slew of engines...I found some kits online also, they same kit/type as I got at Napa but like 16 pcs of each item in the kit, for around 50.00....they fit all kinds of engines, and I think there Bosch units???

They work just fine....I had to replace 3 of mine...
