Alright, I finally have some money and looking to get closer to that 300rwhp mark... I finished the exhaust with mac LTs, mac high flow H, and magnaflow c/b. Now I'm moving up.

I own a '94 GT AOD. What kind of heads will allow me to reach that 300hp mark while staying on a budget. Do I go aluminum or stay iron? I see a bunch of used heads for around a $1000. I was also looking at ported E7s from http://thumperoforangepark.com/ for $495.

Also, what do heads usually come with and what else will i need to be able to handle the heads and get it's full power? How much will it all cost? How much HP should I be looking to gain? How many hours of labor am I looking to pay? Or would someone in northern nj be willing if I paid?

I know almost nothing and have never done any engine mods so keep this in mine if you're trying to explain cfm, lift, or all that other good stuff to me. :D

When I did my last head swap, I bought the heads, new hardened pushrods, new roller rockers(went stud mount), and head gaskets. With oil, coolant, and all the extra little things, I had close to 2 grand in it. I did help a friend put on a set of GT40 irons that he scored for pretty cheap, and was plesently surprised at how strong his car ran after the swap. My only advice would be to not go too big on the head, since your car is an auto. But if you can afford it, I say go for the aluminums.
